FAQ
When and where is the wedding taking place?
The ceremony and reception will take place at The TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK Airport on Saturday, April 27, 2024, starting at 5PM ET.
What time should guests arrive?
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5PM ET, so we ask that you arrive at the TWA Hotel by 4:30PM to ensure that we can start on time.
Are you doing anything on Friday night?
For all of you staying at the TWA Hotel Friday night – or if you’d like to join us even if you’re not – we will have an open bar at the Sunken Lounge bar in the hotel lobby from 9pm to 11pm. Half of the bar will be closed off for us and you can get wristbands from the hotel staff as you enter.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
The dress code for the wedding is Creative Black Tie! A tuxedo or gown will always look great, but feel free to jazz it up with some color or a personal touch. We want you to look and feel your best!
For more ideas on the dress code, we recommend this article from The List.
Can I bring a plus one?
We have planned the wedding to be able to celebrate with our friends and family and have directly invited the people we wish to have around us on this special day.
Are children allowed at the wedding?
Unfortunately, the wedding ceremony and reception are limited to invited guests. While we adore the little ones, we hope you understand that we've made this decision to ensure a focused and intimate atmosphere on our special day. Your understanding and support mean a lot to us, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Can I take photos at the wedding?
We will have a professional photographer at both the ceremony and the reception. We will be sharing the professional photos on this website shortly after the wedding.
We ask that you please refrain from using your phone during the ceremony, but feel free to take photos at the reception.
Will the wedding be taking place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, and there is an indoor plan, if needed. Cocktail hour and the reception will both take place indoors.
Will kosher meals be available as an option at dinner?
We want to do our best to provide kosher meals to those who require them. In order to do that, we need to order them in advance, so please let us know at rsvp@nickandamir.com by Friday, March 15, so we can arrange a meal for you.
What time do you expect the wedding to end?
The official reception is expected to end at 11 PM. Taking a taxi, car service, or public transportation should be quite easy at this time for guests who aren’t staying at the TWA Hotel.
How do I RSVP?
The RSVP form can be found on the homepage. We kindly ask you to RSVP by Thursday, February 29, 2024. Your prompt response will help us ensure a memorable celebration for everyone!
Where are you registered for wedding gifts?
We've made the decision not to register for traditional wedding gifts, but your presence at our celebration means the world to us! For those who wish to contribute to our honeymoon fund, there will be a special spot for your well-wishes at the wedding.
Will transportation be provided to the ceremony or reception?
While we're unable to provide transportation for guests staying off-premises, we're more than happy to assist with any inquiries you may have about transportation options. You can find information on how to get to The TWA Hotel here. You can also find information about parking at The TWA Hotel here.
Are there recommended accommodations for out-of-town guests?
A limited room block will be made available at the TWA Hotel. You can book your room here. We have a limited number of rooms at a guaranteed rate for Friday (April 26, 2024) and Saturday (April 27, 2024), so please make sure to book your room as soon as possible.
There are also many great hotels in New York City that you can choose to stay at. We suggest somewhere near an A, E, J, or Z subway station or the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) from Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal, or Atlantic Terminal. All of these options will directly connect to the JFK Airport AirTrain, making access to the TWA Hotel easy.
What time is check-in at the hotel?
The hotel’s check-in time is 4pm, but you may be able to get early check-in depending on availability. We appreciate your understanding if early check-in is not available.
I tried to book a room at the TWA Hotel but it says there are no more rooms in the room block. What should I do?
If you cannot find a room in the block, please let us know directly or at rsvp@nickandamir.com and we will work with the hotel to add more.
What is the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to either of us directly. You can do that via text or via email at nick@nickandamir.com or amir@nickandamir.com.
